Daniel Balanescu: Daniel Balanescu is a contemporary Romanian artist born in 1967, who is known for his abstract textiles,paintings and mixed media works. He studied at the National University of Arts in Bucharest and has exhibited his work in numerous solo and group exhibitions. He incorporates various materials and techniques into his work, such as collage, stencil, and graffiti, to create layered and textured surfaces. Balanescu's works often reflect his interest in the relationship between man and nature, exploring themes such as ecology, biodiversity, and environmentalism. His abstract compositions are meant to evoke a sense of movement, energy, and dynamism that captures the essence of the natural world. Overall, "Crossing. I am the system" sheds light Balanescu's artistic vision and his engagement with issues that are central to our contemporary moment, such as migration, identity, and globalization.
